Tower Of Bankruptcy

I stopped by Tower Records to take advantage of their going-out-of-business sale, but bought much less than I’d thought I would. The problem is that Tower is so ridiculously expensive (most new CDs are $18.99) that even with 15% off, it’s still cheaper to go to J&R. So I got some discounted CDs, most notably an import of Robert Johnson’s complete recordings for about $8. I’ve had them on LP for years, both the original Columbia records and the boxed set that came out ten years ago or so, but it’s nice to have them digitally. Various country brother-harmony discs for a mix CD I’m planning to make (the Brothers Everly, Monroe, Stanley and Bolick) and a great sound effects CD. Plus Bonnie Raitt’s third album (oh, for the days when she played gutsy slide guitar instead of easy listening crap) and a Saw Doctors album I didn’t have.
